Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 13, 2026
The short version: Heida runs entirely on your iPhone. We don't have servers, accounts, or analytics. Your tasks, habits, anchors, and goals never leave your device — full stop.
Who we are
Heida is a product of FlowStack LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. References to "we", "us", or "our" mean FlowStack LLC. You can reach us at hello@heida.app.
What we collect
Nothing on our servers. We don't operate a backend. Here's what Heida creates and stores, and where each thing lives:
- Your task / habit / anchor data: stored in a local SwiftData database inside an iOS App Group container on your iPhone. Shared only between the Heida app and its widget — never sent to us or any third party.
- Your preferences: stored in iOS
UserDefaults(e.g. week-start day, calendar layout, sort order). Also entirely local. - Notification permissions: granted by you to iOS — Heida only uses the permission to schedule reminders on-device.
- Purchase receipts: handled by Apple. We see only that you've purchased Heida, not who you are.
What we don't collect
- No user accounts, no signups, no email collection inside the app.
- No analytics, telemetry, crash reporters, or usage tracking.
- No advertising identifiers; no ads; no third-party SDKs.
- No location data, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access.
- No web tracking on this site (no Google Analytics, no pixels).
How notifications work
Heida schedules notifications locally through iOS's UNUserNotificationCenter. Reminders for tasks with a due date, randomized "nudges", and habit prompts are computed on your device and registered with iOS. We never see when or what is delivered.
The widget
The Heida home-screen widget reads from the same App Group database on your phone. It does not make any network requests.
Apple's role
When you buy Heida or start the free trial, Apple processes the transaction through its standard In-App Purchase system. Apple is the merchant of record. Apple's privacy practices for App Store purchases are described at apple.com/legal/privacy.
Children's privacy
Heida is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone — including children — because we don't collect personal information at all. If you believe a child has shared information with us through some other channel (like emailing us), contact hello@heida.app and we'll delete it.
Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, and others)
Since your data lives on your device, you are the controller. To exercise any data right — access, deletion, portability, correction — simply use the app's built-in delete and export features, or uninstall the app. Uninstalling Heida removes the SwiftData store and all associated preferences.
If you have additional questions about a specific privacy law in your jurisdiction, email hello@heida.app.
App Tracking Transparency
Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework requires apps that track you across other companies' apps and websites to ask permission. Heida does not track you, so we never display a tracking prompt.
Future sync (roadmap)
We may add optional iCloud sync so your data flows between your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. iCloud sync uses Apple's CloudKit — data is end-to-end private inside your own iCloud account; we still don't operate a server. We will update this policy and notify users in-app before any sync feature ships.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Material changes will be summarized in the app's release notes.
